Knox Heritage loves to connect volunteers with their passion to make a difference in the community. Take a look below at the opportunities we have available and then fill out the online form below to connect with us.
Knox Heritage enjoys working with interns. The University of Tennessee has provided a steady stream of history students over the years. There are also additional opportunities available for art, architecture, interior design, and horticulture students. These are non-paid internships.
Knox Heritage operates two National Register properties and often has renovation/restoration projects going on in different neighborhoods. Skilled craftspeople, connections to donations, etc. can be very impactful.
Knox Heritage events are designed to be more than just fundraisers for the organization. They are important to our mission and serve as fun and engaging ways to connect people to historic places. Every year, over 200 volunteers help make our annual Summer Suppers successful.
WESTWOOD DOCENT PROGRAM
Westwood is the historic home, studio, and art gallery of Adelia Armstrong Lutz. Our volunteer docents are trained to give tours of the house and typically serve at least one three-hour sessions per month.
WESTWOOD Gardens & Grounds
Westwood features three gardens that often need weeding, trimming, fertilizing, or watering.
