Take a Tour
Tour Historic Westwood
One of the Historic Homes of Knoxville, Westwood will capture your imagination as soon as you walk through the front doors. Our guests enjoy the largest assemblage of paintings by artist Adelia Lutz on public display in Adelia’s Studio, on loan from the McClung Collection. The house also features an impressive collection of antique slag lamps on loan from the John and Nancy Coates collection. The Coates rotate the lamps on display throughout the year. Also on display is a lovely work of art by Cynthia Markert. The East Parlor frescoes have been completely restored and many other original frescoes have been revealed and await further restoration. Children (and adults) can search for the pewter German Shepherds hidden in many of the main floor rooms (a homage to Louise Lutz’s favorite pets).
Whether you are interested in history, architecture, art, historic preservation, beautiful gardens, or considering renting Historic Westwood for a private event, our volunteer docents are always happy to show you around.
