The Homegrown Table An Evening on a French Broad River Farm
Saturday, June 28, 2008, 6:00 p.m.
40 guests, $75 per person
Riverdale, 3236 Rush Miller Road
Join us for a celebration of fresh, locally produced foods from some of the only productive river bottom soils remaining in Knox County. The c. 1864 Riverdale farm of Richard and Vicki Baumgartner is the setting for this elegant outdoor supper. Enjoy appetizers and wine from a local vineyard as you stroll through the gardens, toss horseshoes or play croquet to the sounds of old-time music. Our goal is to serve only foods grown and produced within a 10-mile radius. Experience the past, enjoy the tastes of the present, and imagine the future possibilities of local food production on farms along this fertile river corridor as we work to preserve and protect it for future generations.
