Blues Brothers Rhythm & Blues Review at Ironwood Studios Ballroom...Tonight Only
Friday, September 19, 2008, 8:00 p.m.
100 guests, $60 per person
Downtown North, 119 Jennings Avenue
Start with soulful appetizers and Lynchburg lemonade. See the light at Triple Rock Baptist Church. Dine at the Soul Food Café. Join the crowd and “Stand by your Man” at Bob’s Country Bunker. Take a trip down Lower Wacker Drive and rock out to the sounds of Josh and Jarrod’s Blues Brothers Tribute Show at the Ballroom. If you’re really on a mission from God, come as your favorite Blues Brothers character.
Ironwood Studio, winner of a Knox Heritage Fantastic 15 award in 2007, was built in 1924 as a bus repair facility, later served as a moonshine distribution spot, and was being used as an engine replacement shop when it was purchased and renovated with a façade grant. For tonight only, Preston Farabow and John McGilvray’s iron and woodworking studio will be the scene of Jake and Elwood’s triumphant return.
