Donate to the Knox Heritage Preservation Fund
Looking for a way for your charitable gift to make a difference in the long run? Starting in 2008, donors can contribute directly to the Knox Heritage Preservation Fund, an endowment fund established for Knox Heritage at the East Tennessee Foundation (ETF).
Fundraising is an ongoing endeavor for any nonprofit, and Knox Heritage has received countless generous donations since its inception in 1974. As Knox Heritage grows and furthers its mission in our community, we seek to find new ways to generate support and secure the future of our organization.
An endowment is comprised of gifts and bequests with the requirement that they be invested while the principal remains intact. A percentage of the income growth is available to the designated nonprofit. This allows for the donations to have a much greater impact over a long period of time than if they were spent all at once.
ETF, founded in 1986, is a public, nonprofit, community foundation created for the purpose of building charitable resources to make communities stronger and lives better through thoughtful giving. ETF serves 25 counties in East Tennessee. For more information, visit www.easttennesseefoundation.org.
Those interested in donating to the Knox Heritage endowment fund can do so through our secure form online or send a check made payable to East Tennessee Foundation with “Knox Heritage Preservation Fund” noted in the memo line. Mail your check to ETF, 625 Market Street, Suite 1400, Knoxville, TN 37902. Donors also can make gifts of stock, property, or through estate planning. Gifts to the Knox Heritage endowment are fully tax-deductible within federal and state laws.
