Art & Architecture Photography Contest Announced


 Local Photographers’ Images to be Featured in Cripple Creek Crawl Tour and Displayed at Emporium

 Knox Heritage announces a contest for photographers living in the greater Knoxville area, giving them the opportunity to participate in the nonprofit organization’s popular annual event, the Art & Architecture Tour.

Professional and amateur photographers aged 16 or older and living in Knox County or any of the surrounding fifteen counties may submit photos of historic buildings or structures located in the Old City and Cripple Creek area.  A complete photography submission guidelines and application form can be found on Knox Heritage’s web site,, or by calling the office at 865-523-8008.

 Those wishing to enter the contest must complete the application form and return it to Knox Heritage with submitted photographs.  Entries must be received by Knox Heritage by Monday, April 27, 2015 at 4:00 p.m.  Winners will be notified prior to the tour and then publicly announced on the day of the tour.

Winning photos will constitute the tour route for the sixth Art & Architecture Tour, held on Friday, June 5, 2015. The tour will be led by Jack Neely, and a reception will be held beforehand.  The winning photos will also be displayed at the Emporium gallery during the month of August.
