Gilded Age Gala

Knox Heritage requests the pleasure of your company at a New Year’s Eve Gala and Dinner at Westwood, the home of John and Adelia Armstrong Lutz on Sunday Evening the 31st day of December two thousand and seventeen

On December 31st, 1890, John and Adelia Armstrong Lutz welcomed the cream of Knoxville society to Westwood for a glittering New Year’s Eve gala unlike any the city had ever seen.

In the grand tradition of the Vanderbilts’ 1883 Gilded Age Ball, one hundred guests will enjoy a lavish multi-course dinner worthy of the Gilded Age at Westwood at seven o’clock in the evening. At nine o’clock, the party will swell and progress into a sparkling tent on the grounds of Westwood. Guests will ring in the New Year with a cocktail supper, extravagant entertainment, and a midnight breakfast.

The Gilded Age Gala will cap off Westwood’s capital campaign and secure this magnificent historic house forever as the Regional Center for Preservation Education.
