Be among the few Knoxvillians ever invited to dine with Mary Boyce Temple. Wealthy enough to not need (or want) a husband and born the only child in a prominent local family, Miss Temple played by her own rules. After writing a personal check to ensure the future of the endangered Blount Mansion, she became Knoxville’s first preservationist. When it came to buildings, culture, and social graces, Miss Temple had a vise grip on the past. The times may have changed, but we agree with her that an elegant repast and sparkling conversation are the best recipe for fun. Dress up and join us for a four-course Victorian dinner party sure to satisfy even Miss Temple’s exacting standards.

Note: Accessing the Mary Boyce Temple House and touring the home requires climbing steep stairs.
