Please join us for a centennial preview party honoring La Grande Dame. John Trotter is welcoming Chef Matt Gallaher of Knox Mason and Sommelier Connor Coffey to prepare a feast honoring the 2017-100th birthday of the Dulin-Trotter home. John has meticulously restored the home, while honoring its original intent, to satisfy the needs of his young family. Crescent Bluff, as the property was known originally, was purchased in 1914 by Hanson Lee Dulin who selected renowned architect, John Russell Pope ( Jefferson Memorial, National Gallery of Art), to design a home befitting the waterfront site with a commanding view of the river and mountains beyond. The French theme honors the Neo-Classic Revival style based on English, French, and Italian influences, popular American celebration menus of the era, and the site’s original owners, the Audigier’s, whose home was destroyed by fire leaving only a gazebo. Bon amis, bon appetite—c’est la vie!
