Escape to Brown’s Mountain, just moments south of downtown Knoxville, where you will discover the bucolic retreat created by prolific developer David Dewhirst and his wife Tracy. The serene setting created by a collection of historic buildings and fantastic views is the perfect location for an elegant summer Fourth of July celebration in their one-of-a-kind Amish barn, which is nestled just down the hill from the main house. The Dewhirsts rescued the historic barn, built by the Amish in Indiana, from destruction. They carefully disassembled the structure, moved it across the country, and reconstructed it among the gently rolling hills of their property in South Knoxville. The result is rustic elegance, making it perfect for an unforgettable evening under the stars.
