“If we only look for it, we are surrounded by the beautiful always. Cherish it, love it. Take it into your hearts and it will be your very life.”
—Adelia Armstrong Lutz

Adelia spoke these words on November 6, 1893, to Ossoli Circle upon her return from the Chicago World’s Fair. One of Adelia’s contemporaries was Lizzie Crozier French who listed her occupation as suffragist and invited 25 women to form a literary circle named after Margaret Fuller Ossoli. Besides founding Ossoli Circle, Lizzie lobbied for the 19th Amendment and convinced Harry Burn’s mother to influence her son who was THE deciding vote giving women the right to vote. Learn more history as you enjoy a sumptuous meal at the Historic Ossoli Circle Clubhouse built in 1933, home of the oldest women’s federated club in the South. All the recipes will be from the Ossoli Circle 125th Anniversary Cookbook.
